SANTA MONICA, CA – The Santa Monica High School boys soccer team continued their tear through the Ocean League on Thursday night, securing a hard-fought 4-2 victory over cross-town rivals Beverly Hills. The win marks the seventh consecutive victory for the Vikings, who now sit comfortably atop their conference standings.
Senior midfielder Deacon Miller was the catalyst for the Vikings, netting two goals and providing an assist. Miller’s vision in the final third has been the engine behind Santa Monica’s offensive resurgence. Despite a late push from the Normans, Santa Monica’s backline held firm to preserve the win.
The Vikings (10-2-1) look to maintain their momentum as they head into a pivotal matchup against Culver City next Tuesday.
