RICHMOND, VA – In a move set to transform the landscape of American youth soccer, the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Boys has announced a strategic partnership with IberCup, one of the world’s premier international youth tournaments.
Starting in the summer of 2026, the partnership will host an “IberCup USA” event, granting top-performing ECNL teams direct qualification to compete against elite European academies in Portugal and Spain. This bridge between the American high-school-age club system and European scouting networks marks a significant shift in player development pathways.
“This is about exposure,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner. “Our players deserve the chance to measure themselves against the best in the world.”
