MEMBERTOU, Nova Scotia — Jane Daley is in the zone. The Medfield, Mass. native recorded her second consecutive hat trick as the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team skated to a clinical 9-1 victory over Sweden in the semifinals. Daley has been the offensive engine for the Americans, tying the IIHF single-tournament goal record with 11 tallies so far.
Alongside Daley, goaltending sensation Morgan Stickney and playmaker Kylie Amelkovich—who set a new single-game assist record—have made Team USA look nearly invincible. The Americans now look ahead to a gold medal showdown, seeking to reclaim their spot atop the international podium after last year’s silver finish.
